God is good! He has provided the way to connect with Him. It is a gift from Him, not based on our own works. Salvation – the way to a relationship with God – is by grace, through faith alone, not by works.
The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

The Bible tells us in Romans 3:10, There is none righteous, no, not one. And Romans 3:23, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Everyone has sinned in the eyes of God, and all of us stand guilty before Him. Actually, just think how ridiculous it would be to stand before a perfectly holy God and say “I’ve been good enough.”

Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages of sin is death. Eternal spiritual death is the price we must pay for sin. What is sin? Sin is simply this – disobedience to the will of God. And since all have sinned, all are subject to the penalty of sin and an eternity in hell separated from God.

No, although a lot of people try to!
God has provided a remedy for our situation by sending His Son to pay the penalty for us. John 3:16 tells us that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. What a promise!
And Romans 5:8 tells us that God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. He did not wait for mankind to “get it together.” His son, Jesus, gave up His life as a sacrifice while we were separated from Him.
Jesus tells us in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

First, you must admit that you’re a sinner. Then, you must choose to accept God’s way of salvation, His Son, Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:9-10 tells us that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
A simple sincere prayer is the way we initiate our connection with God. Just tie your heart around these words and pray:
God, I thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I recognize that I have sinned. I proclaim Jesus as the Lord of my life. I choose to do things Your way. I believe He died on the cross and was raised from the dead to pay the penalty for my sin.
Jesus, thank you for paying the price to save me and give me eternal life. I invite You into my heart, into my life. I ask you to change me on the inside. Help me to live this life in a way that would honor You. In Jesus name, Amen.
